Actor Lotte Andersen, the acclaimed string ensemble LiveStrings and pianist-composer Nicolai Kornerup created a powerful performance where words and music intertwined—celebrating the legendary artistic couple Anne Marie Carl-Nielsen and Carl Nielsen
On this album they are blending Carl Nielsen’s timeless melodies with brand-new compositions by Nicolai Kornerup, the music flows effortlessly between classical elegance, Nordic jazz intimacy, and vibrant folk energy.
More than just a tribute, this project reimagines Nielsen’s legacy through fresh arrangements and original works, proving how vividly his spirit speaks to modern audiences. The album preserves the tour’s electric atmosphere—where every note and word reminds us why these two creative giants still captivate us today.

Nielsen’s Masterpieces – From the spring-like joy of Nu Springer Våren to the haunting beauty of Sænk Kun Dit Hoved, Du Blomst (heard for the first time as a string quartet).
Kornerup’s New Works – Including Til Birgit, a tender piano prelude dedicated to his grandmother, and Tempo Giusto No. 5, a meditative reinvention of Nielsen’s Fifth Symphony.
Nordic Jazz & Folk Inspirations – As in Underlige Aftenlufte, where Nielsen’s melody transforms into an evocative jazz ballad.
